A case of congenital jejunal atresia, which was developed on the jejunum 30 cm distal from the treitz ligament was reported.
A 7-day-old male infant, the product of full term caesarian section, with a birth weight of 4kg, was admitted to the Won Ju Christian Hospital on July, 4, 1975 with chief Complaints of abdominal distension and vomiting since birth.
We underwent the laparatomy under the impression of mechanical intestinal obstruction, and then we confirmed the congenital jejunallatresia.
The enlarged proximal bowel was resected for 5cm and side-to-side jejunojejunostomy was performed.
The postoperative course was unremarkable, and the patient was discharged on the 9th postoperative day.
